Eating Raw Food To Stay Healthy
July 12th, 2010Normally, raw food is something we might indulge in every once in a while, like when we have a salad. However, eating raw food is one of the healthiest things you can do for your body. I am talking about healthy vegan raw foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
These foods are fantastic for your body and health and provide you with everything your body needs to perform at peak level. Some of the benefits of eating raw foods include increased brain function, heart function, kidney function and so much more.
This is one of the reasons that experts recommend eating 5 different colored fruits or vegetables a day. Eating raw food like this can reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes. Eating a high raw food diet can actually reduce your cancer risk by 50% or more and that is huge.
Studies have shown that consuming this sort of diet also prevents diabetes and obesity as well. Regularly eating foods like these help keep your digestive system healthy, and promote a healthy colon and intestinal tract.
There are a lot of ways you can enjoy your raw foods and still feel fully satisfied after a meal. Create a salad full of differently colored vegetables and some crunchy seeds and nuts and have a nice big raw meal. Eating raw food should become a daily habit that you will continue for life.
Raw foods will enable you to stay healthy and happy for many years to come and the benefits you will experience are amazing to say the least. If you are a parent, you should consider training your children from the time they are young to love raw fruits and vegetables so it will be easier for them to maintain a healthy diet for life. Doing this will help prevent child obesity and any obesity issues that could carry over into their teenage and adult years. So, maybe you should be listening to your mother’s advice and eat your fruits and vegetables!
